The festive winter holiday is upon us, and while people are busy buying last minute presents for their friends and family, we hope that a few Christmas song releases by your favorite idols can help make this time less stressful. So whether you celebrate Christmas or not, just sit back, relax, and enjoy some Christmas songs from the past and present.
LADIES’ CODE - THE LAST HOLIDAY
The trio of Ladies’ Code serves beautiful vocals in this new Christmas single that was released December 11. This feel-good ballad is perfect for relaxing after a long day in school or work, decorating, baking, present wrapping and everything else that comes with preparing for Christmas. It’s the perfect combination between a slow ballad and a happy Christmas song.
BTOB - Winter’s Tale
Taking this back to 2014, BTOB released a mini-album themed for Christmas, and the title track on this album was “Winter’s Tale.” The music video, starring CLC member Seunghee, shows BTOB’s cute and playful side. The song is fun and upbeat, although it carries sad lyrics. Another song on this album that was promoted was the ballad “You Can Cry.”
Girls Generation TTS - Dear Santa
Staying in Christmas past, in December 2015, the Girls’ Generation sub-unit TTS, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun released a Christmas mini-album with five songs and one English version of the title “Dear Santa.” It really is one of those perfect Christmas songs, filling the room with Christmas spirit and joy when played. In addition, watching the music video with stunning visuals reminds anyone of the holiday.
Starship Planet 2018 - Christmas Time
It is no Christmas in K-Pop without Starship Entertainment’s yearly release of a new Christmas song. This has been a tradition for years, and it’s still going strong. This year’s release features K.Will, Soyou, BOYFRIEND, MONSTA X, WJSN, Jeong Sewoon, Yu Seungwoo, BROTHERSU, MIND U, and DUETTO.
FNC ARTIST - It’s Christmas
FNC Entertainment kicks off their first ever collective Christmas song, with singers, actors and MCs! The song is fun and upbeat, and it starts off with Yoo Jaesuk wishing everyone a merry Christmas. It also features FNC’s new girl group Cherry Bullet, which is yet to debut. This release is the second part of the FNC LAB (FNC artist collaborations) and the company is donating a part of their income to charity; for example, to help build schools in Mongolia through LOVE FNC.
