GOT7 & IGOT7s Share a Love Loop Forever

GOT7's love for Ahgases proves to be never-ending in their latest Japanese single "Love Loop."

As one of the few Korean acts with a stronger fanbase in Japan, GOT7 made their first comeback of the year by releasing "Love Loop" on June 26. The single serves as the title track of the sextet's (excluding Jackson due to his promotions in China) fourth mini-album of the same name on July 31. Fans were bewildered as the video dropped without prior notice.

The Single

The mellow melody begins as Jinyoung sings of love and destiny. The love ballad soon appeals to our auditory senses by leaning on their vocal strength. It revolves around a warm and aesthetic atmosphere as the members croon together, with slender beats accompanying in the background. Penned by Youngjae, “Love Loop” talks about a love destined from the beginning and lasting forever. The mutual feeling blooms between the members and the listeners as the mellifluous track beautifully delivers lines like "It was decided from the start, like planets rotating around the same orbit. An awaken miracle to meet you. It's Destiny." Adding to the touching lyrics, the climax of the song follows with JB and Youngjae hitting various high notes after the drop, adding a sentimental touch that makes the listeners feel closer.

The Music Video

The track is not just aesthetic in sound; it possesses an artful music video to pleasure the viewers. With CG effects of artistic canvas painting the background, GOT7 stands on planets and other celestial bodies to tie the forever love loop. Dressed in various pastel colors, the members appear to be unearthly good-looking, magnetizing us beyond gravity. Several shots in the video also capture the group performing their calm and composed choreography with elegance.

Amidst the lyrics and music, GOT7 always love symbolizing their beloved Ahgases in their music videos, and as a result, IGOT7s were featured as a green bird transforming into a blooming pink flower, delineating the blossoming bond between the two. Furthermore, the scenes included sketches representing water, land, and air in outer space, as to communicate that the sextet conquered all things with love in a loop.

By comprehending inner feelings with external objects and forces, GOT7 portraits a perfect sketch in the form of a music video for us to treasure. No wonder this single and upcoming album will become another long-lasting star to their achievements for a promising career.
