ONCE, it’s finally happened! TWICE dropped their first, and highly-anticipated, full English single and music video, “The Feels.” While TWICE has given fans English versions of their popular Korean title tracks since debut, this time they focused on stealing our hearts with an all-English original track!

TWICE has been very busy this year in addition to their new release, showcasing a wide range of comeback promotions—dropping the Korean title track “Alcohol-Free” and mini-album Taste of Love in June, and their Japanese album and title track "Perfect World" in July. The nine-member girl group dropped their first teaser announcement for "The Feels" on August 5 with an image of someone holding an invitation to Prom 2021. Since then, they've shared teasers and even released a longer audio teaser of the track on TikTok before the song was set to release!

"The Feels'' is a groovy nu-disco track with an upbeat melody and disco synth beats that express the innocent and heart-fluttering feeling of love at first sight. Written and composed by Anna Timgren, J-Hype, Boy Matthews, and collapsedone, the addictive and bright love track showcases TWICE's versatility. This single was also released alongside remixes with The Stereotypes, Belgian DJ Yves V, and an instrumental version to diversify the track's production.

In the song there are lyrics like, "You have stolen my heart," and, "'Cause you got me good and I wanna be ya boo, if it's dumb, well, I wanna be a fool," to express they've begun to fall for someone and are willing to take it to the next level, even if it's foolish. They describe love as "a funny thing" and "a mystery allure," because when you fall in love, it comes out of nowhere and is often shocking to say the least. If the groovy beat and vocals in the chorus didn't make you obsessed with this single, the bridge is certain to take your breath away with Nayeon's melodious vocals. Overall, TWICE's single has ONCE under a spell that now leaves us in "the feels."

The music video begins with the girls receiving an invitation letter to the prom. With the girls' excitement coming in, they get ready in various montage-style clips where they prepare for a great night! Sure enough, TWICE manages to take over the prom with a red carpet photoshoot scene in their silk dresses with jaw-dropping visuals and energetic and retro choreography. One notable moment as they enter the prom is Mina being crowned as the "Prom Queen," and giving fans a comedic moment between her and Chaeyoung where she takes the crown for herself.

Since its release, fans believe TWICE's various trend-setting outfits in the music video could potentially be referencing their past hits—plaid for "YES or YES," silk dresses similar to "What is Love?," upgraded modern cheerleader outfits as a nod to "CHEER UP," and a Momo-focused clip similar to "LIKEY." There's a special clip in the video's credits where we see Jeongyeon kick off her shoes and enjoy herself freely on the dance floor amongst her members. It's clear that no matter where TWICE is invited, they are certain to dominate the scene and bring out their peppy personality!

But ONCE, this is just the beginning. At the end of their music video, we see an announcement poster of important dates where TWICE drops their future plans in 2021 and beyond—celebrating their sixth anniversary for a full week in October, dropping their third full album in November, and a future tour is coming! This is TWICE's early reminder to ONCE that it's time to start saving up for these next big drops!
