K-Drama OSTs You Might’ve Missed This Year

“Another Level” by CLC

CLC’s Seunghee, Yeeun, and Seungyeon teamed up for this OST from the web drama Be My Boyfriend. The song’s sassy lyrics and dynamic sound fit well with the premise of the show where an ordinary boy starts a fake relationship with the most popular girl at his school. Two polar-opposite characters on completely different levels fall in love with each other. The song sparked rumors of a potential sub-unit in CLC with the three members.

“Stay: Tempus” by G.Soul

“Stay: Tempus” is an R&B track with hints of nu-disco influence performed by R&B vocalist G.Soul, also known as Golden, and produced by Groovyroom. The song was the first soundtrack released from the ongoing sci-fi thriller drama Sisyphus: The Myth. The story of the drama revolves around time travel and a dystopian future, with the title and lyrics of the song referring to the concept of time and how it relates to the characters in the drama.

“Adrenaline” by Solar

Solar of MAMAMOO released an English version of the song “Adrenaline” from the sensational drama Vincenzo. The song was originally released in Italian by singer Aalia. Both versions of the song are equally good. The track is written and performed from the perspective of the titular character Vincenzo, played by Song Joongki, a Korean-Italian lawyer who lives a risky life as a consigliere to a mafia boss.

“Timeless” by BIBI

Rising R&B singer-songwriter BIBI takes on the second OST released for the psychological thriller-drama Beyond Evil. Paired with BIBI’s haunting vocals, this rock-genre track perfectly encapsulates the struggle the two male leads face in the drama: the feeling of being trapped in time and each other’s minds. The song marks BIBI’s second solo OST release.

“My Last Love: In Paradisum” by Ailee

Power vocalist Ailee, known for her emotional OSTs, is back with a beautiful rock ballad, “My Last Love: In Paradisum” from the soundtrack of the sci-fi thriller drama Sisyphus: The Myth, starring Cho Seungwoo and Park Shinhye. This song is performed from the perspective of Park Shinhye’s character, who is an elite warrior from the future destined to save the male lead of the drama.

“To My One And Only You” by Xiumin

Xiumin of EXO released “To My One And Only You” from the highly acclaimed drama Mr. Queen as his first project following his military discharge earlier this year. The song is a beautiful piano ballad that puts the focus on Xiumin’s vocals and effectively tells the story of a reluctant prince who falls in love over the course of the drama.
