Stray Kids Goes Dumb with Alesso and CORSAK in New Track

Showing off their versatility once again, Stray Kids partnered with Chinese EDM artist CORSAK and Swedish DJ Alesso on the track “Going Dumb.” This track is part of the growing music that is part of the popular mobile game PUBG

The Song

The song mixes the classic Stray Kids vocal on a beat that is rave-worthy. The main beat is so punchy that you can’t help but want to get up and move. The lyric distribution between members is fairly even, with Chan and Hyunjin singing the verses, Seungmin and Han singing the pre-chorus, and the rest of the members splitting the choruses and hook between themselves. The lyrics are mostly in English, with the verses being the only Korean lines in the entire song.

The Music Video

The music video is a mix of pixel art and 3D animation. The main character of the music video is a small dog inside a tamagotchi toy. Throughout the music video, the dog goes through his daily routine and even sees a doctor and plays a claw machine. The colors are all very vivid and border on neon. One fun thing to point out is that the music video combines the lyrics throughout the scenes. Instead of subtitles, the English lyrics for the verses are directly beneath the Korean lyrics in the video.

Final Thoughts

While this song is meant for a video game soundtrack, we can definitely see it as part of an epic dance mix in a club. With iconic names Alesso and CORASK on the track, it won’t be a surprise to anyone that Stray Kids might be played during your next night out!
