Throwback Thursday: Time and Time Again

How is it already April? In the blink of an eye, another month has passed in 2021. Whether you’re reminiscing days past or counting down until life once again returns to normal, your favorite K-Pop idols are here to help you ruminate on the inevitable passage of time.

“Tomorrow, Today” - JJ Project

In 2017, JJ Project, made up of GOT7’s Jay B (going by JB at that time) and Jinyoung, released their album Verse 2. The majority of the tracks on the album are about going through life in your 20s, with perhaps no song fitting the bill better than the title track “Tomorrow, Today.” With its soft-rock guitars and melancholic lyrics, “Tomorrow, Today” is a song that can comfort almost anyone as they navigate through life.

“60Sec” - Sunggyu

INFINITE’s leader Sunggyu released his first mini-album Another Me in 2012, led by the track “60Sec.” The song is about how one can fall in or out of love in only 60 seconds and truly pulls on the heartstrings thanks to its rock vibes. The track showed another side to Sunggyu specifically, allowing him to showcase his talents outside of his role in INFINITE.

“One of Those Nights” - KEY feat. Crush

“One of Those Nights” is one of the title tracks from KEY’s debut solo album Face. Featuring Crush, the song is about the lingering thoughts that follow a breakup and how time seems to drag on, no matter how hard you try to distract yourself.

“24 hours” - Sunmi

In 2013, Sunmi officially embarked on her solo journey with the release of her single “24 hours.” In the track, Sunmi laments over the fact that 24 hours is simply not enough to spend with her loved one. The song took the K-Pop scene by storm, charting at No. 2 on the Gaon Digital Chart, No. 3 on the K-Pop Hot 100, and becoming one of the most-covered choreographies among idols.
