Embark on a Cozy Trip with House on Wheels

tvN’s House on Wheels has returned with a second season this April! Launching into a new series of episodes, House on Wheels 2 introduces a new combination of cast members who take off on a journey.

The three celebrities drive to new locations each week and dwell in various parts of the country. Relying on their very own van for a safe and snug rest, the cast enjoys their adventure, embracing the fresh air and taking in the different surroundings that evoke a distinct atmosphere of healing.

Meet the Cast

The show initially gained lots of traction for its impressive line-up in cast and guest appearances, but soon the ratings began to reflect the audience’s interest and support of the show for its warm, therapeutic nature.

The first season of House on Wheels featured actors Sung Dongil, Kim Heewon, and Yeo Jingoo, a rather difficult grouping of celebrities to see in one sitting—and on variety shows in general!

Conversing a lot with the guests and castmates, as well as skillfully cooking appetizing meals for the team, Sung Dongil exhibited his friendly nature through affectionate gestures. The actor’s considerate and witty character played a central role in loosening up any awkwardness, soon replacing it with an air of comfort that enhanced the experience for both guests and team members alike.

Kim Heewon’s unexpected character induced a mixed reaction of shock and surprise from the public as soon as the first episode aired. His signature evil, tough, and heartless persona, shaped by a variety of spine-chilling characters in his filmography, was nowhere to be seen, and instead, a soft-hearted, shy, and quiet individual took his place. Kim Heewon’s startling difference from on and off screen further contributed to the public’s attention, causing them to view him in a positive light, attracting more and more people to explore the various charms of the actor through House on Wheels.

Yeo Jingoo appeared as the youngest member to join the two other actors. Despite the age gaps with his seniors, Yeo Jingoo carried out a fulfilling role as a supporter, attending to various tasks when called for. The actor's amiable character helped him in interacting with people around him and experiencing moments of joy from these interactions. His presence lightened up the mood, creating a stronger bond between the three actors.

However, due to Yeo Jingoo’s inability to participate in the second season, House on Wheels 2 cast a new member to fill the void: actor and singer Im Siwan! Although his passion often surpasses his ability to keep up with assigned tasks, the new youngest member’s hardworking trait is a positive factor in the overall experience with his industry seniors. His ability to communicate with those around him with warmth and attentiveness is a booster for generating a welcoming and pleasant mood in the three stars’ house on wheels.

Traveling Light

Provided with a car and portable home perfect for transportation, the cast of House on Wheels move from location to location without much difficulty. The team’s van (or their home) is filled with basic necessities, from a sink to cooking tools and even beds, and the van is decorated and customized to fulfill the needs of the team during their temporary stay out in nature.

With the arrival of a new season, and in preparation for the cold winter in Korea, the new and enlarged portable van presents an upgrade in appearance and functionality. The base of the box-like home is made of flooring with a pre-installed heating system operated by buttons. With the newly implemented setup, the temporary residents of the van are able to spend a toasty and pleasant time indoors while enjoying the beautiful snowy view through the window. The production crew definitely worked to consider the uncomfortable aspects that were spotted throughout the filming of the first season of House on Wheels. One of the major changes confronts the issue of having little space for the top bunk bed, which seems to have been revised this time around. The wider space provides enough leeway for most, if not all, people to sleep in the top bunk with no trouble; the additional renovated structure in the van mirrors a minimalistic aesthetic area available for multi-tasking.

The upgraded, customized van serves as the cozy lodging for the family of three, and accommodates celebrity guests that arrive. This moving van generates a homey and welcoming vibe that encourages everyone to feel a natural sense of healing by catching up with friends, relaxing, and taking a break. Check out the rest of the grand assets and interior of this van for yourself!

In transitioning from season one to season two, House on Wheels underwent a member change; however, the chemistry between new members, along with the guests, is just as wholesome and uplifting, allowing the audience to delve deeper into the charms of various celebrities. Accompany the cast of House of Wheels 2 on their journey across the beautiful country of Korea, observe the diverse surroundings and take in the pleasant air that the comfort of the cast’s van brings to you. Plus, there’s a grand guest line-up waiting, so definitely be on the lookout for new episodes and don’t miss out on House on Wheels!
