Originally released back in May, vaultboy has returned with a remix of his viral hit “everything sucks” featuring Eric Nam. After previously working together on “Have We Met Before,” it was only a matter of time before the two artists collaborated again. This catchy and addictive track is for sure a must-repeat type of song. While the track itself is happy in sound and feel, there is an underlying somber and sad tone. “everything sucks” speaks of wanting to get away from all the bad days and feeling down, and focuses on making an effort to be more positive. The song recognizes that bad days and not feeling okay happens, but by getting up, going out, and doing things that make one happy, things will get better. There is an emphasis on the particular lyrics of “everything sucks BUT…” meaning yes, it’s bad, but there is a positive side to this as well.

While there is no official music video just yet for the “everything sucks” remix and only a lyric video, Eric Nam and vaultboy create a fun and quirky collaboration for fans to enjoy. “everything sucks” is a refreshing and down-to-earth kind of song that uplifts and comforts listeners.
