Throwback Thursday: Spooky Season Edition Part 1

It is now spooky season and plenty of songs out there radiate Halloween. This was only going to be one part, but so many tracks were released with Halloween vibes that there couldn’t just be one part. So, let’s take it back and get spooky with these Halloween tracks.

Red Velvet - “Peek-A-Boo”

There is no way this list could be made without our spooky queens. “Peek-A-Boo” was released on November 17, 2017, and while it wasn’t released during October, it still gives that Halloween vibe. Everything about this song is so good. The video shows the members hunting a pizza boy, and the song is eerie but exciting. It truly sticks to Red Velvet’s supernatural concepts. The track is iconic and will always remain at the top of the list for spooky tracks.

ATEEZ - “THE BLACK CAT NERO”

ATEEZ honestly ate this song up. “THE BLACK CAT NERO,” originally sung by a 90’s boy group named Turbo, was redone on October 30, 2020 by ATEEZ. This track is Halloween. In the video, the members are dressed like monsters. They resemble vampires to me and many viewers. They are seen dancing in a cemetery and incorporating moves from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” This track needs to be played every Halloween, or it just isn’t complete.

ENHYPEN - “Drunk-Dazed”

On April 26, 2021, ENHYPEN released their spooky track “Drunk-Dazed.” The party theme of the video and the hidden storyline of vampires, werewolves, and zombies are cool to see. The song itself is really hype and addictive. The eerie feeling one gets while watching this video also adds to the chilling and mythological storyline that ENHYPEN has. It’s a very interesting video and grabs the attention of any viewer.

TWICE - “TT”

“I’m like TT (OH), just like TT (OH).” This song is so good. While the song lyrics don’t speak about anything spooky or scary, the video shows the members all in different costumes. The video is what makes this an iconic Halloween track. The video starts with two kids trick-or-treating and shows the TWICE members in this haunted house turning into different fairytale characters. It’s an upbeat, fun dance track that many of us love to listen to.

SHINee - “Sherlock (Clue + Note)

“Oh I’m curious, yeah.” I love this song, and so do so many others. I had to add this song to the list. The Sherlock theme of the song is what made me add this track to this article. This song is so iconic and made me and many Shawols fall in love with SHINee’s music. The vibe of the song is spooky and chilling and the video adds to the storyline they have for the track. “Sherlock (Clue + Note)” is a well-known Halloween track that will always be played during this time.
