She’s Back! Soojin Exudes Elegance in “AGASSY” Debut

It has been a long time coming for fans since Soojin departed from (G)I-DLE in 2021 amidst rumors of bullying in school, and she has finally returned to the music industry with her highly anticipated solo debut.

Her first mini-album titled AGASSY features six tracks including the title track of the same name. “AGASSY” features a lot of Korean traditional instruments in the track as well as in the styling for the music video where Soojin is eventually shown in a hanbok. It is a very lighthearted listen, with her vocals perfectly fitting the vibes she was going for. The music video also has beautiful visuals to mix nicely with the mood of the song.

Mentioned in a press release by Korea JoongAng Daily, Soojin described her debut as wanting to put emphasis on “revealing herself,” and while she wants to continue showing off her charismatic side, she also wants to be pure and enchanting. “AGASSY” absolutely hits the mark on enchanting alongside the rest of the album. Soojin also mentioned feeling most connected to the song “SUNSET” and says when she came across the song, she was able to imagine meeting fans happily.

AGASSY has six tracks along with the title track including: “Flowering,” “Sunflower,” “TyTy,” “SUNSET,” and “bloodredroses.”
