aespa Brings The “Drama” To Us In New Release
WOW! aespa has done it once again and came through and dropped a jammed-packed album. aespa, an SM Entertainment girl group, dropped their fourth mini-album Drama, and I have been to this all day. The mini-album features seven upbeat dance tracks that are so much fun to listen to.

Title Track: “Drama”
This has to be one of the most girl-boss tracks I have heard in a good minute. “Drama” is a hard-hitting, impactful, and dynamic. Before the track was released, each member dropped a short video called “I’M THE DRAMA.” Each video showed the members in different situations that showed them in some type of drama. It is honestly really cool to see. Being able to see the acting abilities of the members got many of us super excited for the release of the mini-album. It made me wonder what is the video and song going to be like.
The video is so cool. I can only assume that in the video, they are supposed to be “bad girls.” With scenes like all the members fighting each other and members NINGNING and WINTER hanging off the roof. I love the way they use the lighting in this video. The red background while they danced looks amazing. The song is so addicting. “I bring, I bring all the Drama-ma-ma-ma. I bring Drama-ma-ma-ma. With my girls in the back. Girls in the back” has been on my mind all day long. The beat is striking and energetic. When you first hear the beat drop, you can’t help but move your head along with the beat. This is another great title track from aespa that is going to be on our minds forever.

Amazing B-Sides
“Trick or Trick” is a track that needs to be played at a party. Once the song starts, you are instantly hooked to the beat. “Now you see me, now you don’t” is what’s been playing in my mind. Personally, if I heard this being played anywhere around me I’m going to break into a dance. It’s fun and a ball of fire. It’s a personal favorite of mine that is going to stay on repeat.
While listening to this album, I kept trying to figure out why this song sounded so familiar. I knew the words already and could picture the dance in my mind. Then it all clicked. Back in August, I attended an aespa concert, and they performed this song. “Don’t Blink” is upbeat and funky, and you are destined to vibe to this track the moment you hear it.
This track is so cute. It reminds me of a fun, joyful summer tune. It’s a track you would play on the way to the beach and while there. This song also sounded familiar, and that is because aespa performed this track on their tour SYNK: HYPER LINE. It’s a cheery track that will bring a smile to everyone's faces.
“Y-O-L-O. You go ‘Oh No’” is so much fun to sing. “YOLO” is another track that was performed on the tour, and when I heard this for the first time, I levitated. How is every song of theirs so much fun? The stage is so exciting. You can’t help but jump up and down and wave your lightstick in the air. This song hypes up any crowd and is entertaining. It’s another favorite of mine for sure.
A BALLAD! WE GOT A BALLAD! The simple strumming of the guitar is soothing and enjoyable. The high belts and harmonizing made me feel like I was in the clouds. The difference this ballad has compared to other ballads is that it still has an energetic pop beat and powerful vocals combined. “You” is a beautiful track, and put a smile on my face. They ate this one, and is another favorite of mine.
Now we all know this catchy track. Between the challenges and dance covers, “Better Things” has been everywhere. It’s a track that you can’t help but dance to. This English track was released before the mini-album dropped, and we have all been obsessed with it. It’s a really fun way to end the album.

aespa is back and they have released a mini-album that is differently going to go down in the books. As a MY I was super excited when it was announced that aespa was going to have a comeback. These girls are super talented and deserve their music to be blasted through all speakers. It’s a great comeback, and we MYs can’t wait to see the things they have planned for the future.
