  2. “OOTD”

  3. “Rising”

  4. “Shatter”

  5. “We Are Young”

Title Track: “OOTD”

Oh, they ate with this one. “OOTD” is a pop/rock track you get hooked on once it starts. Dreamcatcher is known for their sound, and they fully showcased it in this release. The outfits in this video have me in awe. The OOTDs are phenomenal. The video itself is really cool. There are scenes that look like it takes place on a computer. I think that is really interesting, and is a cool point of view. The message at the end of the video, “Would you like to join the journey?” gave me the feeling that this is an ongoing storyline, and I’m so excited.

The vocals in this track are mind-blowing. The Dreamcatcher members’ vocals are siren-like, and even in a rock-heavy song like “OOTD,” you can still hear these siren vocals in the song. The members are known for their amazing vocal and rapping skills, and they showed that on this track. This song is really fun. The chorus is addictive, and I’ve been singing it all day. “OOTD, this my fashion. Shut up, no more questions.” This is definitely a track I’ll be blasting through my car speakers.

B-sides

Besides the title track, there are four other hard-hitting songs I had so much fun listening to. The first track, “Intro : This My Fashion,”  plays the chorus of the title track, and has a strong EDM beat to it. This is a song I can see being played before a concert starts. Picture it, you’re sitting at the concert, lightstick in your hand. Then, the lights dim, and you hear this bass-booming intro as they walk out. The crowd is going to go crazy. The next B-side is titled “Rising,” and this song truly captures the essence of Dreamcatcher. This rock-heavy track reminds me of a show opening. “Rising” is striking and powerful and showcases who Dreamcatcher is as a group.

Remember those siren vocals I talked about? “Shatter” has those on full display. This is one of my favorite songs from the mini-album, and I have been listening to this on repeat. The beat during the chorus of this song is electric and dynamic. If I ever hear this live, I know l would lose my mind—it's that good. The last song on the mini-album is titled “We Are Young,” and it’s so beautiful. This EDM-heavy party song is a joy to listen to and is another favorite of mine. I can picture this track playing at a rave. I can see the lights flashing, people jumping around, dancing to the beat, and enjoying themselves. It’s a fun song with fantastic vocals and a great way to end the mini-album.

Dreamcatcher has done it once again and released a mini-album that many are going to enjoy. This EDM/rock mini-album has no skips, and the feeling you get from listening to it is like a ball of fire. Seeing that they were having a comeback excited me and many other InSomnia’s, and we were not disappointed. It’s always a joy to hear from Dreamcatcher, and we can’t wait to see what great things they have planned for the future.
