March Comeback Roundup

We’ve got another month full of comebacks, so let’s dive into what March had to offer in the alternative space.

MIRANI - “Asphalt” (feat. pH-1)

MIRANI teams up with pH-1 for her new single “Asphalt,” and you know with this duo, it’s gonna be good. The track has a classic, groovy hip-hop melody that is incredibly addictive, with MIRANI’s smooth vocals contrasted by pH-1’s sharp rap style. There’s a gritty feeling to the song that makes it particularly catchy, at least in my opinion.

JUNNY - “Optimist”

It’s been a busy year already for JUNNY, but he shows no signs of slowing down. His latest single “Optimist” featuring Blase showcases his travels across the U.S. for his tour in the music video. The song has an upbeat pop-influenced melody, as suggested by the title. Blase’s rap verse adds another layer to the mostly vocal-heavy track.

TRADE L - “Body Language” feat. Rad Museum

TRADE L boasted a full EP release in March featuring big names such as Rad Museum and SOLE. Each track has its own official audio video, but no title track music video. “Body Language” is a smooth hip-hop track with a strong R&B feel to the melody that makes it rather soothing. TRADE L does a great job of creating a calming atmosphere in the song that makes it super mellow overall.

LØREN - “Folks”

LØREN is already proving to make waves with his first EP, with the music video garnering 4.5 million views on YouTube just two weeks after release. “Folks” shows us a new side to the artist, with the track having heavy pop rock influences as the main staple of the melody. LØREN portrays the perfect pop rock idol, both in image in the video and in his deep toned vocals.

BUMKEY - “T.T.T (Tell The Truth)” feat. Moon Soojin, NONE

A veteran of the industry, it’s always a treat to get new music from BUMKEY. “T.T.T. (Tell The Truth)” featuring Moon Soojin and NONE is a classic hip-hop track, simplistic yet enjoyable. Sometimes the classics are best for a reason, and with a combination of BUMKEY’s rap flow and the different vocal flavors of Moon Soojin and NONE, it creates an enjoyable, classic track.
