Throwback Thursday: The Color is Blue

Continuing with our new category, today we will talk about the color blue. One of my favorite colors has come into the mix, and plenty of tracks showcase the color blue. So, let’s take it back and talk about albums that are as bright as the sky. 

NCT 127 - NCT #127 WE ARE SUPERHUMAN

On May 24, 2019, NCT 127 released their hit EP NCT #127 WE ARE SUPERHUMAN. The bright blue background and shadows of the members create a sleek album cover that is satisfying to look at. “Yeah! Superhuman!” was a phrase we were screaming at the top of our lungs. The title track, “Superhuman,” rocked the world when released, and the EP features six songs that all hold a special place in our hearts. The B-sides, “Highway to Heaven,” “FOOL,” “Jet Lag,” “Paper Planes,” and “OUTRO: WE ARE 127” are tracks that many NCTzens and non-NCTzens hold close. It’s an amazing EP that is a staple of the NCT 127 discography.

CIX - HELLO Chapter 1: Hello, Stranger - EP

July 23, 2019, is a day that FIX will never forget. That is the day CIX made their official debut. The album showcases a royal blue background and the signature CIX logo. Their debut track, “Movie Star,” was and is still a well-known and well-loved track amongst K-Pop fans. Their debut EP, HELLO Chapter 1: Hello Stranger, houses tracks that many of us know and love. B-sides like “What You Wanted.” “Like It That Way,” “Imagine,” and “The One” are all tracks that show CIX’s signature R&B, pop, and hip-hop sound. It’s an iconic debut that will go down in history. 

ITZY - IT’z ICY EP

“I see that I’m icy.” Our dancing queens came through and showed us their fantastic dancing this day. On July 29, 2019, ITZY released their EP, IT’z ICY. The album cover shows the members in nice outfits with a light blue crystalized background. Their title track, “ICY,” is a track we will never forget. Everything about this track is addictive. The song, the dance, everything is engraved in our heads. The EP has five songs total along with dance-worthy B-sides. “CHERRY,” “IT’z SUMMER,” “DALLA DALLA (DallasK Remix),” and “WANT IT? (Imad Royal Remix)” gave us a look into the fun tracks that ITZY has. It’s an EP you can’t help but party to.
