ZEROBASEONE Makes the Hearts of Japanese Fans Beat With Their First Single “YURA YURA -UNMEI NO HANA-”

ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) is made up of nine members: Hanbin (leader), Jiwoong, Hao, Matthew, Taerae, Ricky, Gyuvin, Gunwook and Yujin. The group debuted on July 10, 2023 with their first mini-album YOUTH IN THE SHADE through WakeOne Entertainment. ZB1 represents the “journey of the nine trainees who must lead to a unique entity after their debut”. ZEROBASEONE therefore means that the members start from zero to become one during their journey. This involves members' commitment to sharing with their fans the process of transforming their group from zero to one.

In 2023, ZEROBASEONE was awarded the title of “Best New Artist of the Year” at South Korea's five biggest music awards ceremonies, namely: MAMA Awards, MelOn Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, Circle Chart Music Awards and the Seoul Music Awards. As a reminder, the first mini-album YOUTH IN THE SHADE sold 1.2 million copies just one day after its release, and the second mini-album MELTING POINT sold around 1.45 million copies.

While ZEROBASEONE is very successful and has only been active for a few months, a new record has already been reached. Indeed, with a total of 187,694 copies sold on the day of its release according to music industry data Oricon published on Wednesday, their first Japanese single “Yura Yura -Unmei no Hana-” (ゆらゆら -運命の花-) ranked no.1 on the Oricon daily singles chart. ZB1 is the first K-Pop group to reach this sales figure in Japan and has become very popular on the archipelago.

With their first Japanese single, ZB1 displays the colors of spring. This single contains a total of three songs with two Japanese version remakes of the songs "In Bloom" and "CRUSH," and expresses ZB1's exciting and long-awaited meeting with Japanese ZEROSE.

They will hold their first fan concert 2024 ZEROBASEONE FAN-CON in JAPAN at K-Arena Yokohama from the 23 to the 24 and meet their local fans. Following their explosive popularity, 50,000 tickets were sold during the pre-sale which began on January 30.
