Throwback Thursday: The Color is Yellow

Welcome back! Today, we will talk about the bright and vibrant color yellow—the color of the sun, many flowers, and plenty of album covers. So, let’s take it back and talk about some albums whose covers shine bright like the sun. 

STAYC - STAYDOM - EP

“STAYC girls, it’s going down.” On April 8, 2021, the bright and bubbly girl group STAYC dropped their well-known EP, STAYDOM, featuring their iconic track, “ASAP.” The members Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J put their all into this comeback. Even to this day, everyone is dancing and singing along to “ASAP.” The song is upbeat and the pop track brings a smile to every listener's face. The B-sides, “SO WHAT,” “LOVE FOOL,” and “SO BAD (TAK Remix)” are all so much fun to listen to, and each is so different from the next. Since their debut, they have only skyrocketed and STAYDOM’s popularity is a perfect example. 

iKON - NEW KIDS : BEGIN - EP

On May 22, 2017, former YG Entertainment boy group iKON dropped a hard-hitting EP that rocked our worlds the moment it dropped. NEW KIDS : BEGIN - EP is home to two well-known iKON songs that many know, “BLING BLING” and “B-DAY.” The two tracks showcased on the EP both have completely different vibes. “BLING BLING” is a bass-induced track with heavy and skillful rapping, while “B-DAY” is a fun, upbeat party song that includes a good mixture of rapping and strong vocals. The members at the time, B.I, Jay, Song, BOBBY, DK, June, and Chan gave us an EP, even almost seven years later, we can get up and dance to. 

NCT Dream - Hello Future - The 1st Album Repackage - EP

On June 28, 2021, SM Entertainment boy group NCT Dream dropped the summer repackage that brightened our moods the moment it was released. Hello Future - The 1st Album Repackage - EP is a bright and colorful repackage that is a joy to listen to. The title track, “Hello Future,” is a feel-good track with captivating raps and angelic vocals. The members Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung, gave us an EP that we will never forget.  Hello Future - The 1st Album Repackage - EP is home to “Bungee,” “Hot Sauce,” “Life Is Still Going On,” and “Dive Into You” —four B-sides that are to be played with the windows down and on full blast. This is an EP you play on repeat and have the time of your life listening to.
