8TURN TAKES A NEW TURN TOWARDS JAPAN WITH THEIR FIRST SINGLE IN JAPANESE

8TURN, which is the first boy group of MNH ENTERTAINMENT, debuted in 2023 and consists of eight members: Jaeyun (the leader), Myungho, Minho, Yoonsung, Haemin, Kyungmin, Yungyu, and Seungheon. The group name "8TURN" is a combination of "8 (∞)" meaning eight boys with infinite potential and the word "TURN" which refers to the notion of movement, and contains the powerful aspiration of "8TURN's turn" which tends to lead the new generation of K-Pop.

One year after their official launch, 8TURN debuted in Japan on March 6 with their new digital single “RU-PUM PUM (Japanese ver.)” where all members sing in Japanese. That same day, the group held their first concert at Spotify O-EAST in Tokyo titled 8TURN 1st Fan Concert in Japan 'Turn Table'. This song is the Japanese version of “RU-PUM PUM,” released on January 9 as the title track of their third EP STUNNING. As a reminder, this is a hip-hop style song with a catchy rhythm, and contagious energy. Seungheon and Yungyu participated in writing the lyrics.

The event began with the performance of their title “EXCEL,” eliciting strong positive reactions from fans. The titles WONDER,” “SKETCH,” “WE,” and “Say My Name” were also played as well as many other songs that 8TURN shared in the day’s playlist. The 8 members also took valuable time to candidly interact with their local fans in a session titled “Question From TURNING.” Photos were taken and distributed to immortalize this special moment on their official channel

On this occasion, fans were proud and happy to find their “Eight Super Saiyans,” an expression used by Yungyu during the broadcast on SBS Radio. This bright “all blonds” look reflects their strong group spirit and their super power. This was something they were able to prove during the dance part performed in the music video of “RU-PUM PUM.” It’s a performance which fully demonstrates the power of their charisma and which allowed them to win the “Blooming Performance Group Award” during the Hanteo Music Awards 2023, organized on February 17 and 18 by HANTEO GLOBAL. 8TURN also confirms their deep determination to be active on Japanese territory with numerous events announced.
