P1Harmony Reveals Each of their Favorite Styling Eras
P1Harmony’s recent comeback “JUMP” has proved itself as being the group’s most successful release to date. The six-member group found themselves entering Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart at No. 8, with them entering the Billboard Top 200 Chart for the first time at No. 52.
Alongside their fun, upbeat music that draws people in, P1Harmony is a group that is also particularly known for their interest in fashion and for having that distinctive Gen-Z flare.
From their hair colors to the laid back, baggy silhouettes of their outfits to their bright shoes on stage, P1Harmony fans, P1ece, expressed their liking toward the styling for this new era. We asked each of the members which comeback era they think best fits each of their own personal styles and why.
Keeho: For me personally, I don’t know if it would suit my personal fashion taste, but I really really liked “Back Down”’s outfits, hairstyles, everything. I feel like everything about “Back Down” visually, conceptually, was so perfect. I’m super into fashion and the visual aspects of a lot of things, so I was thoroughly, thoroughly very satisfied with “Back Down.”
Intak: I also really liked “Back Down”’s outfits, particularly the suits that we wore. These days I’m really interested in that traditional, classic, clean cut fit of clothes, so I liked getting to try these types of outfits (with “Back Down”).
Jiung: For any new album, there’s so many different vibes to them. So even though I do have my own sort of fashion sense that I like, there’s always going to be something new to try. This album definitely has a lot more fashionable styles and points which made me have to step out of my comfort zone. [And] I liked being able to do that with this album!
Jongseob: I really loved “Back Down”’s Diesel outfits because everything was perfect and (was) something I loved too. Intak said he likes the suit outfits, and I liked the horn-like accessories we paired with them! I like “Back Down”’s outfits!
Theo: I like “Back Down” as well because I really like cool fits. I really liked the same Diesel set of fits.
Soul: I also “Back Down”! My outfit with the pink hat is my favorite [look].
*Writer’s Note: I do think Soul mistook this for his furry bright blue hat, but we love it regardless!*
And at this point we all laughed because “Back Down” was really the turning point for them fashion wise.
P1Harmony often work with stylists Lee Dongyun and Kim Jayeon to bring each of their albums’ concepts to life, and the pair never fail to encapsulate the visual direction of each era that the boys venture into. And as Jiung mentioned before, each era presents them with various creative styling options. As Jongseob and Theo named the particular Diesel outfits as being some of their favorites to be styled in, a partnership between the group and brand looks like it would be welcomed with open arms. If there’s a will, there’s a way!
A big thank you to Keeho who translated for us throughout the entirety of the call, and to FNC Entertainment for allowing us to partake in the media event!
