A week after the release of their mini-album ZERO : FEVER Part.3, ATEEZ are set to make their first appearance on the Billboard 200 Chart. But of course for ATEEZ and ATINY, it’s not just a celebration of their debut appearance on the chart, but rather the fact that they’re debuting at No. 42 on the chart, making ATEEZ one of the most popular acts and ZERO : FEVER Part.3 one of the most popular albums in America this week.

Jae Yoon Choi, the CEO of Kai Media and Hello82, the exclusive retailer for the physical version of the ATEEZ EP in the United States noted, “This is a milestone moment for ATEEZ, who has been topping Korea and other international charts for a while now. It is great to see their popularity is finally recognized in the U.S. by Billboard. We know how important making the list is to all artists, especially K-Pop idols, and of course how important it is to their fans. We are thrilled to have been a part of promoting this album with ATEEZ. The Billboard charts can be quite complicated, and we are proud to say that we have tirelessly worked to understand the nuance and rules involved. This allows us to guide artists and their teams on how to create a U.S. sales strategy that serves fans while getting them the recognition they deserve by having their album sales counted correctly.”

While this isn’t the first Billboard chart that ATEEZ have appeared on, as in the past they’ve appeared on the Billboard World Albums Chart, Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 Chart, and Heatseekers Albums Chart, this will be their first appearance on a chart recognized specifically for sales in the United States, making their debut extra special. For comparison, the World Albums Chart takes into account the biggest-selling world music albums, the K-Pop Hot 100 Chart ranks the best-selling singles in South Korea, while the Heatseekers Albums Chart ranks albums of new artists that have not attained the top 100 of the Billboard 200. If an artist reaches the top 100 of the Billboard 200, they are no longer eligible for the Heatseekers Albums Chart.

On behalf of the staff here at The Kraze, congratulations to ATEEZ and ATINY. You earned it, and your efforts have not been in vain, as you are finally getting the global recognition you’ve deserved all along.
