Throwback Thursday: OST Edition

We all have our favorites when it comes to Korean dramas (aka K-Dramas). My favorites are Black and Business Proposal. Both are top-tier in my eyes, but something that I enjoy, as well as the show, is the OST. A soundtrack can make or break a show—music is important when it comes to a scene. So, today, let’s take it back and talk about some OSTs that we all know and love.

SS501 - "애인만들기 (Making A Lover)" (Boys Over Flowers

We all have definitely heard of this show. Boys Over Flowers is a show that is known amongst everyone. This show features household actors like Lee Minho, Ku Hyeseon, Kim Hyunjoong, Kim Bum, Kim Joon, and many more. One song from the soundtrack that many know is the song “애인만들기 (Making A Lover)” by SS501. This upbeat track brings a smile to your face the moment you hear the beat build up. There are plenty of songs that you can think of when you hear Boys Over Flowers, but this one is the first to come to mind.

Why - "운명 (Fate)" (Full House)

This song is so beautiful. This is the type of song that makes you grab at your heart and sing your heart out. Full House is a show that also houses a lot of iconic names in both acting and music, for example, singer and actor Rain, actors Song Hyekyo, Han Eunjung, Kim Sungsoo, and many more. “운명 (Fate)” is a track sung by singer Why, and the vocals are stunning. The dramatics in this song merge perfectly with the dynamics of this song, and it makes for a great OST.

Clazziquai - "She Is" (My Lovely Sam Soon)

We all have heard this song in the background of clips but could never figure out the name of the song. “She Is” is from the show My Lovely Sam Soon. The actors in this show are Kim Suna, Hyun Bin, Jung Ryeowon, Daniel Henney, Lee Kyuhan, and many more. The song is sung by the group Clazziquai, and it’s an iconic track. The whole album is amazing, but this song is so well-known. Every time I hear this song I get a nostalgic feeling, and it’s so worth it. This track will definitely go down in history.
