Wanna One does not fail to exceed expectations with their newest comeback! Their new studio album, 1”=1 (Power of Destiny), is full of various tracks to showcase each member before the group disbands. Sadly, this is the group’s last album before they return to their respective companies.

Their title track “Spring Breeze” is a pop dance track about a couple separated from each other, though they try to come back together as one. The fusion of each of the member’s voices makes the track stand out even more on top of the soft, yet sexy, chorus. The track shows that the members are willing to fight with all their might for what they desire. They want fans to know that though they will eventually cease to be one group, they will always find a way to come together as one.

In the music video, the members are seen in many bright, colorful scenes while partaking in various games such as arm wrestling. The scenes in the music video clearly portray the message of the track; some of the members appear in their own solo shots singing their portion of the track, though they always manage to come together again, which is a promise they’ve made to fans.

The first track off the album, “집 (Home),” is a pop track starting off with a soft beat and distinct piano elements before transitioning to something more upbeat. The track likens one’s significant other to the security and comfort of a house. The next track, “불꽃놀이 (Flowerbomb),” adds a different genre to the album with its soft electronic beat. The track is able to showcase Sungwoon’s strong vocals as well as Daniel and Woojin’s sexy rapping. “묻고싶다 (One Love)” starts off with a soft verse from Daniel which instantly hooks listeners. The song is reminiscent of their previous title tracks with the dance beat, not to mention Jihoon is able to show off his precise rapping skills.

“Deeper” is a soft, mysterious track that naturally has listeners wanting more. Jaehwan showcases a strong high note after the first verse to begin the chorus of the song. Next is “술래 (Hide and Seek),” a somber ballad in which the members call out for the person they love as they come and go as they please. The next track, “Awake!,” brings the album back to somewhat of happier note with the cute confession lyrics and a sweet, catchy beat. The song “12번째 별 (12th Star)” is only available on the physical CD and it’s dedicated to fans, just like IOI’s famous track “Downpour.” Similarly dedicated to fans, “소나무 (Pine Tree)” details the personal growth and the experiences of the group. The members promise that they will always be there for fans no matter the circumstances. Finally, “Beautiful (Part II)” is the sequel to their track “Beautiful” released in November of last year.

Wanna One has released their last album before disbanding in January 2019. Fans are understandably upset seeing as the group has released tons of amazing tracks for audiences to enjoy. Though they will no longer be a group, they hope to reassure fans of the fact that they will always be together through their support.
