인피니트(INFINITE) has come back as only five members. Since the departure of Hoya and the group’s leader, Sunggyu, enlisting in the army last May, they have gone through a rough patch, but they have come back stronger than ever. Each member is able to showcase their own unique talents which have definitely surprised fans.

Their new digital single “Clock” is an upbeat ballad which is about wondering when they will see their loved ones again while continuing to love them unconditionally. Each member’s vocal skills seemed to have greatly improved from singing to rapping. L was able to showcase his amazing vocal improvement and Sungjong showed off his improved rapping skills along with Dongwoo.

The music video was definitely shot in a cinematic view where each member is seen alone, endlessly waiting for their loved one to come back. The vintage rotary phone is clearly a recurring item in the music video which represents continuously calling that special someone even though there is no response. Near the end of the music video, various ringing noises begin to sound from their phones, but no one seems to pick up the phone, which represents that the relationship is coming to an end. Sungyeol is also seen playing with a lipstick and yarn throughout the music video which is a reminder of that special someone.

Their comeback single definitely has a special meaning directed towards their dedicated fans. The track tells fans that they will continue to love them and not to forget them during this time, just like the fans have waited for them to come back and release new music for them. The group will definitely come back stronger than ever to show fans that their long wait will be worth it.
