“Here Comes Spring” - Graphy

This 2018 release from indie artist Graphy, on top of being an English release, is one of those songs that is instantly mesmerizing upon first listen. “Here Comes Spring” is not the usual type of song one would associate with the blooming days of Spring, but for a time filled with countless rainy days and just as many new beginnings, this song about the inevitable fallout of a relationship feels all the more appropriate.

“A midsummer night’s sweetness” - San E and Raina 

In 2014 San E teamed up with Raina to release their duet, “A midsummer night’s sweetness.” While many K-Pop songs focus on the hot, humid afternoons of summer spent poolside or at parties, “A midsummer night’s sweetness” sings of rekindling an old romance amidst hazy summer nights. San E’s relaxed rap and Raina’s dreamy vocals offer the ideal setting for a summer night when you’re up late thinking of past love.

“Nostalgic autumn” - ZIA feat. Hong Daekwang 

2015 brought the single “Nostalgic autumn,” a ballad duet between ZIA and Hong Daekwang with a soft-rock feel to it that really puts the spotlight on the talents of the two vocalists. In the song, past lovers mourn their failed relationship as the chilly temperatures of autumn remind them of warm love lost. The music video for the song is just as emotional as the track itself and is also an interesting watch with an open-ended finish.

“When Winter Comes” - Urban Zakapa 

In late fall of 2013 Urban Zakapa released the commiserating ballad “When Winter Comes.” The emotion in this release is undeniable—all three members reportedly went through break-ups at the time—and is made all the better with the driving guitar at the end. From its soft piano beginning to build toward heavy instrumentation in the latter half of the song, Urban Zakapa takes listeners on a journey with “When Winter Comes” that’s sure to help anyone through the coldest months of the year.
