IMFACT Returns with First Mini Album, L.L

IMFACT has returned with their first mini-album! Titled L.L, this underrated and highly talented boy group is back to treat fans with a fresh set of new songs to enjoy.

Tracklist:

  1. I’m Fine

  2. Title: Lie

  3. LALIDA

  4. WiFi

  5. Don’t Say

  6. At the end

Prior to the release of their latest mini-album, IMFACT released their title track “Lie” a week before, accompanied with a music video. The song itself is about facing heartbreak and wanting to deny that all the love that was given by a significant other was a lie. The song pleads that it’s not too late and that they are still there, deeply in love. But despite the dark tones of the lyrics of the song, “Lie” is an upbeat pop-ballad that is catchy and easy-going. As the summer season is slowly approaching, “Lie” is that perfect seasonal transition song that isn’t too loud and hype but just enough to get one grooving along to the song.

Focusing more on the music video, “Lie” is rather simple yet ethereal with the video primarily focusing on the IMFACT members rather than some elaborate set. As “Lie” is supposed to be a sad love song, the music video is mainly in black in white but color slowly fades into the video, drawing the parallel that as feelings grow more intense, the color becomes more vibrant. While viewers get a glimpse at bits and pieces of the choreography, the focus of the music video is getting the great shots of each and every member as they get their moment to shine.
IMFACT’s latest mini-album is a solid listen through and through. For those who are looking for a refreshing, pop-focused spring-to-summer album that is a joy to listen to, please do give their album a chance. With the exception of the more somber ballad of “I’m Fine,” the rest of the tracklist is fun and ones that will get fans and listeners up and dancing around. This album is a delightful surprise and it’s a shame that IMFACT remains such an underrated group within the K-Pop industry. For those who have not given the group a listen, L.L is a great introduction to the group as well as it is highly recommended to listen to their other releases too.
