Young Rapper on the Rise: Meet TRADE L
Did you think BIG Naughty was the youngest member at H1GHR Music? Think again! Back in July of 2020, 2004 baby TRADE L signed an exclusive contract and took the title of the youngest member in the agency. Lee Seunghoon was active in the underground hip-hop scene before being discovered by Jay Park himself on SoundCloud.
Before signing with the agency, TRADE L was featured on tracks from Asthma and JAEHA “Without u” and “Droptop” respectively. In both “Without u” and “Droptop,” you can hear more of the vocal influence in TRADE L’s verse, where his rap takes on a more melodic and autotune focus. This is a pretty big difference from what was originally posted on his SoundCloud account, which has a much more edgy and hard tone. It’s a good showcase for the young rapper, displaying his diverse vocal ability in the space.
TRADE L made his debut on the scene in the H1GHR compilation albums, with eight features on H1GHR : Red Tape and two features on H1GHR : Blue Tape. Though he doesn’t have a track all to himself on the albums, his talent shines in his verses among the senior rappers. “도착 (Cypher)” currently sits at three million hits and showcases the young rapper in his element.
