From Vintage Backyards to an Imaginary Space World — Fashion Week with HEIZE and OMEGA X

Following a short break during the weekend, HEIZE opened the second part of the 2022 Spring Summer Seoul Fashion Week with a digital show surrounding modern exhibitions at The Hyundai Seoul. The artist represents the modern Korean style very well and her short performance of “HAPPEN,” “Why,” and “You, Clouds, Rain” felt like those groovy vibes when you’re sipping a glass of champagne in a fashion show venue—oh how we miss those moments! HEIZE wore three different outfits from two designers who took part in Seoul Fashion Week this year, C-ZANN E and HOLYNUMBER7. We are back with our recap of what Days 3 and 4 promise for the upcoming season in K-Fashion. There’s also a little surprise for GoToe’s subscribers and OMEGA X fans as well...

Day 3

MUSEE — RÉALITÉ ET SURRÉALITÉ

The modern and chic collection was presented in a powerful contrast with the history of Gyeongbokgung Palace. The brand pursues a philosophy that conveys the value of beauty that can remain unchanged over time, and this was beautifully expressed with the minimalist silhouettes and muted color palettes. These pieces are perfect for those who want to be effortlessly elegant, yet trendy.

PART OF UNIVERSE — White Night

The up-and-coming Korean brand showed an eclectic, very eye-catching fashion film for their fashion-forward spring-summer collection that mixes athletic elements with more elegant silhouettes.

YUGADANG — The Royals

YUGADANG’s collection imagines the lifestyle and fashion of the Korean royal family in today’s time. It presents original and witty products by combining design with various stories based on Korean tradition, culture, and trendy street casual, athleisure looks. Designs that stand out like a K-Pop idol, just like OMEGA X members Xen, Hangyeom, and Hwicha, who made their runway debut through this film. It’s a mixture of historical and modern that works very well, just like the background music of the fashion film. We hope to see this collection on music shows or album jackets!

MODERNABLE — deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)

The up-and-coming designer of MODERNABLE took inspiration from the 23 pairs of chromosomes formed by genetic DNA to create a collection of 23 items that can be combined. The easy-to-wear pieces can all be a statement; the soft colors and diverse, modern styles will complete your spring-summer wardrobe and will go well with your street style and more dressed up outfits as well.

BEYOND CLOSET — YARD

Healthy mind, healthy soul, healthy body…These are the inspiration behind BEYOND CLOSET’s new collection. All pieces of YARD have a vintage mood that reflects nature-inspired colors, materials, and an organic lifestyle. Retro trends haven’t felt this fresh in a while, and we are certainly ready to put down our smartphones for a time traveling gathering like this fashion film. The famous YouTuber GoToe, with over 2 million subscribers, also appeared in the backyard show of BEYOND CLOSET.

Day 4

GAZE DE LIN — Pouch de rêve

Day 4 started with GAZE DE LIN’s dreamy and very feminine presentation. The completely black and white collection brings back the motif of the dream pouch from the Korean pocket tie silhouette and transforms into a very modern look.

JULYCOLUMN

The up-and-coming designer Park Sooy took us into her own colorful boutique for the digital runway. As the brand’s main target, this spring-summer ready-to-wear collection is also for professional women who pursue a quality life. The collection focuses on efficient use of eco-friendly natural color palette and JULYCOLUMN’s initials that are molded into symbols, timeless silhouettes that are staples in women’s wardrobe.

SLING STONE — RESTORATION

Another collection that is focused on black and white is the RESTORATION collection of SLING STONE. The monochromatic clothes are a modern reinterpretation of the natural, active, and lively urban sensibility. The designer uses new and unique silhouettes to create something very fresh from these two basic colors, and the digital runway filmed in the History Hall of Seodaemun Prison feels like a teaser for an intriguing movie—we want to see more!

IRYUK — Indépendance

The next generation designer IRYUK took us into an imagined space world using digital edits in a spectacular way. The collection feels very out of the box, reimagining some classic and beloved designs in a unique way. This is a collection for all trendsetters, not just those who are into K-Fashion.

C-ZANN E — Into the Light Through Prism Colors

The last digital runway of Day 4 took us back into the historical side of Seoul with live music. The collection aims to bring light back into our life after a long period of unpredictability. This is well-represented through happy flowers, polka dots, and shiny see-through materials that resemble the prism in the name of the collection. C-ZANN E brought a very romantic and smiley closing to the day.
