September has been another great month of comebacks this year. There was so much to listen to from a lot of our favorite artists, as well as some new tunes from new artists making their debut. Here are some of my favorite B-sides that were released this month.

“All You” - P1Harmony

P1Harmony delivers a nostalgic boy band charm in “All You,” the fifth track from their latest mini-album SAD SONG. The members' sweet, melodic vocals travel along an uplifting, groovy, and old-school composition creating feelings of warmth, love, and nostalgia, perfect for a romantic K-Drama OST. “All You” is a song that will have you smiling throughout, especially those of you who have been waiting to hear more from Soul, with Soul’s smooth vocals taking center stage in certain parts of the song. 

“꼬리를 먹는 뱀 (Ouroboros)”- Dragon Pony

New K-Band on the block, Dragon Pony, channels fierce rock energy in “꼬리를 먹는 뱀 (Ouroboros),” the third track from their debut mini-album POP UP (check out my review of its title track here). This song serves up a high-energized arrangement comprising impressive instrument playing, sharp vocal delivery, and a small inclusion of vocal screams, creating an addictive new K-Rock track to obsess over. Being one of their first single releases, “꼬리를 먹는 뱀 (Ouroboros)” immediately becomes one of the best K-Rock tracks to come from a debut, creating high expectations and anticipations of what is to follow.

“Road”- Hwasa

Hwasa opens her latest mini-album O with “Road” a beautifully melancholic track sung entirely in English. Through “Road,” Hwasa flaunts her delicate singing vocals, gracefully delivering her emotions against a country-inspired ballad melody. Whilst releasing catchy, upbeat singles as her title tracks, “Road” projects a different light onto Hwasa and her solo career, highlighting her artistic versatility that makes you want to hear more from Hwasa in this nature. “Road” is a track that you can envision being complimented by a stunning music video that I hope Hwasa has plans for.
