University of Pennsylvania students Louis Chung and Wenxuan Chen have launched a brand new app to connect K-Pop fans, especially in the U.S. k-net, currently available through Apple Store and Google Play, aims to allow fans to connect and stay updated on what other K-Pop and K-Drama fans near them are doing. 

A simple app, k-net moves away from trivial news, voting, and unnecessary fandom issues and refocuses the user’s attention to the music and content. k-net also allows you to connect with K-Pop and K-Drama fans “Near You,” as users are asked to input the state they are from when they sign up. The feature can therefore be used to connect with fellow concert-goers to help plan in advance.

Some of the features of k-net include a customizable profile page where you can share which songs you are currently listening to and which dramas you are watching. The “What’s Trending” feed shows specifically what fans are actually interested in. On the “Home Feed,” fans can share their thoughts, photos, and clips, and they can respond to each other through comments. k-net also offers an event calendar where you can view upcoming local events related to K-Pop and K-Drama. Fans can also chat one-on-one through the chat feature. 

The app was created by young entrepreneurs to allow fans to have more intimate and meaningful conversations about their shared love of Korean music. Download the app and check it out now: Apple Store and Google Play.
