Throwback Thursday: K-Drama OST

Welcome back to another Throwback Thursday! This is dedicated to all the K-Drama lovers out there as this week is all about K-Drama OSTs (original soundtracks)! If you are an avid fan of K-Dramas and have been watching for quite some time, these songs will definitely make you want to re-watch some of these dramas and have you in your “feels.” We have also covered K-Drama ballads in a previous Throwback Thursday, so make sure to check that out as well!

“My Love” - LEE HI (Scarlet Heart Ryeo)

While there are many great songs that are well-deserving of being highlighted from Scarlet Heart Ryeo, “My Love” by LEE HI is a beautiful ballad from the historical/fantasy drama that captures every emotional bit that this spectacular K-Drama portrays. While we still cry and shout for the directors to release the full ending of the drama (which has been teased on the drama lead actors IU and Lee Joonki’s Instagrams), “My Love” is definitely a song worth listening to and getting lost in. We, too, hope that LEE HI will make her comeback to the K-Pop industry as well!

“Ambiguous” - BTOB (Fight My Way)

One of the hit dramas of 2017 has to be Fight My Way, as the chemistry between Kim Jiwon and Park Seojoon is undeniably addicting to watch. One OST in particular is “Ambiguous” by BTOB, as this particular song always came in during the cute and lighthearted moments between the two characters, Aera (Kim Jiwon) and Dongman (Park Seojoon). In particular, “Ambiguous” is a fun song that will bring a smile to your face and put a spring in your step as it’s perfect for spring!

“Almost Paradise” - T-Max (Boys Over Flowers)

While the other K-Drama OSTs previously mentioned were from more recent K-Dramas, we had to throw it all the way back to 2009 to the hit drama and remake of the original Hana Yori Dango: Boys Over Flowers! If there is one song associated with Boys Over Flowers, it has to be T-Max’s “Almost Paradise,” which will inevitably get stuck in your head. This particular K-Drama (spoiler alert for the video below as it contains footage from the drama) is what launched actor Lee Minho’s career to make him the big Hallyu star he is today. “Almost Paradise” brings back memories for K-Drama fanatics and is a definite blast from the past!
