UNB Makes Their First Comeback with “Black Heart”
The Unit’s resident boy group, UNB, has made their first comeback since their debut earlier this year! With their EP, BLACK HEART, UNB gifts fans five brand new songs, including the instrumentals for the main tracks. For this particular release, there are tracks that are available only on the physical version of the album, so this article will focus only on the three tracks on the digital release.</deck>
“Black Heart”
When UNB made their debut, their song “Feeling” was loaded with a lot of emotion from overcoming the battle of participating in The Unit. With “Black Heart,” the UNB members are much more relaxed and having fun for this round of promotions. “Black Heart” has a big band/show tune/jazz influence throughout the song, making it fun and energizing. “Black Heart” will definitely have you up and dancing around, whether it is around the house while getting some work done or while hanging out with friends.
The music video features all the UNB members, taking the spotlight and showcasing their dance skills. There is even a nod to BIGSTAR’s Feeldog and BIGFLO’s Euijin’s small rivalry as center position and main dancers during The Unit. As UNB is comprised of members from different and veteran male idol groups, their years of experience within the industry definitely shine through. It’s also a refreshing twist to see the members having fun rather than taking on another serious concept for their music video.
The Album
There are two other tracks aside from the instrumentals off this latest album. “After The Rain” is an R&B ballad that is soothing and chill. This particular track gives fans the opportunity to hear more of the members singing abilities as well. The other track off the album is “Moonlight,” which is another chill track with a slight jazz influence. “Moonlight” is the type of track that is perfect for road trips or lounging around at a cafe with a nice cup of coffee. As previously mentioned, there are a few tracks that are only available on the physical album. One is titled “TO.UNME,” which is revealed to be a special track dedicated to their fans. On the Black version of the physical album, they included the live version of “Dancing With The Devil,” and on the Heart version of the album, the other special track is “끌어줘.” Fans who are lucky enough to get the physical version of the albums will be able to hear these special tracks.
In total, this is a solid EP from the idol project group, and we are looking forward to seeing what else the group has in store for the remainder of their time as a group. Give UNB’s BLACK HEART a listen, if you haven’t already!
