Makeup for End of Summer Festivals

Summer is coming to an end which means you have to show off your vibrant makeup looks! The season is all about bright and cheerful colors used to lighten up the mood while simultaneously matching the hot weather. We’ll be recommending long-lasting products that will ensure your makeup stays bright and glowy throughout the day.

FACE

Face makeup is very important in the summer, mostly because it gets hot and humid which causes makeup to look more cakey. For foundation, we suggest using a lighter formula or cushion foundations to prevent using too much product on the skin. A few favorites are Shu Uemura’s Petal Skin Fluid Foundation and Hera’s Black Cushion. For those with more hyperpigmentation and blemishes, there are lighter formula foundations with full coverage, such as Etude House’s Double Lasting Foundation and COSRx’s Blemish Cover Cushion.

For blush, vibrant pinks are best for the summer season. These bright pinks/corals bring out the skin’s true complexion while also making the whole look cuter in general. Cream blushes are best for this hot weather seeing as the product is bound to stay on your face throughout the day. We recommend 3CE’s Blush Cushion in #Coral or #Girlish Red and Aritaum’s Sugarball Cushion Blushers in Peach Crush.

Highlighter is a must during the summer, as it’s used to emphasize the natural glow on the points of the face that stand out most, such as one’s cheekbones and the tip of the nose, with light often reflecting off these features during the course of the day. Again, cream highlighters are the best when it comes to maintaining that glow, and we like Etude House’s Play 101 Stick Contour Duo which comes with both a cream contour and highlighter.

EYES

Eye makeup is the most important element when it comes to making a statement with your whole makeup look — what better way to have your eyes speak for you than with vibrant, bright colors? You can mix individual eyeshadows to create the perfect look with Etude House’s Look At My Eyes Shadows and Aritaum’s Mono Eyes Shadows. These two companies have created products with amazing pigmentation, and they’re guaranteed to last through those sweaty summer days.

There are also many eyeshadow palettes available for those who may not know how to combine individual shadows together, such as Nature Republic’s ProTouch Color Master Shadow Palette Spring Edition and Heimish’s Daillism Eye Palette in Coral Essay. These two palettes provide a large selection of colors based around coral and pink, and they’re bound to make a point out of your eye makeup.

LIPS

Lips is our favorite part of any makeup look—it’s where we can really show ourselves through each lip color. Many of us prefer lip tints in the summer because they are more likely to stay on the lips throughout the day while maintaining their intense color. We recommend Peripera’s Ink The Velvet Lip Tint in Beauty Peak Rose or Inkrush Orange and Mamonde’s Creamy Tint Color Balm Intense in Apple Bite or Baby Rose.

Before summer ends, you should be able to show off your makeup skills for the last time! Bright, vibrant colors are the best way to have your makeup stand out and pop in public. Remember to always choose products that are best for your skin and not only because they are popular amongst idols or YouTubers!
