Back to School Makeup Look

Well, school is finally back in session! So you’re stressed about all the work you have, but you still want to dress up for school, huh? We’re all lacking sleep and always rushing out of the house to make it to class on time. But don’t worry—we all know the struggle. Because of this, we’ve got a simple makeup look you can achieve in five minutes before having to rush out to class. You may even be able to get this look down on the way to school.

Face

For face makeup, the easiest way to cover all of your blemishes and pigmentations is by using concealer. Apply concealer under the eyes to cover dark circles from lack of sleep, to the sides of your nose to cover redness, and between your eyebrows and on the bridge of your nose to highlight these areas, or to simply blur any imperfections. If your cheeks tend to show redness, then you can also apply concealer to those areas. For added depth, you can use a concealer in a lighter shade under the eyes, between your eyebrows, on the tip of the nose, and even on the chin to brighten and emphasize the high points of your face. Remember to apply concealer under your eyes in a triangular shape with the bottom of the triangle closest to your eye and the tip of the triangle pointing toward your chin. Lastly, take a dampened sponge and blend the product out until you have a more natural coverage.

Eyes

A simple eye look is very easy to achieve by following these four or five steps. Using an eyebrow pencil, lightly fill in your eyebrows until you have achieved your desired shape. To create a natural, everyday eye makeup look, apply a light brown shade over the eyelids for a more neutral style or simply apply a peach shade for a cuter look. To make things more glamorous, you can even apply a natural glitter shade on your eyelids. If you can’t live without eyeliner like us, you’ll be happy to know that applying brown eyeliner further emphasizes the natural look we’re going for, mostly because eyeliner brings out the eyes, making them look more prominent. Lastly, make sure to curl your eyelashes and apply mascara for added lift or to simply make the eyes appear bigger.

Lips

As for lips, we recommend using a lip tint because they last for a long time, which means having to worry less about constantly reapplying product. First, apply lip balm onto the lips so they don’t get chapped, which is especially important during the winter time. Next, apply the product onto the center of your lips, gradually spreading the product onto the rest of the area, which creates a gradient effect. And did you know that many lip products can also function as blush? Just lightly tap the product onto your cheeks using either a beauty sponge or your fingers to blend out the lip tint.

Since school is starting for all students, we imagine everyone will be too stressed to worry much about skin care, but remember that clear skin doesn’t stay clear with little effort. Taking care of your skin is also a form of self-care, so remember to take a little time out of your day to pamper yourself. Good luck to all the beautiful students going back to their academic studies!
