Released as a digital single on November 6, “MAY” is the R&B singer’s nostalgic take on past romance. From the first meeting to the quiet endings of love, “MAY” is a bittersweet reflection on the ups and downs in a relationship. The song is a softer than usual release for Zion.T, despite his penchant for penning some of the most comforting tracks in the industry. Sounding more like a drama OST than an R&B single, the artist turns in his usual groovy beats for a muted acoustic guitar and an emotional string accompaniment.
The music video for “MAY” is more cinematic film than anything, with the video following a nonlinear timeline of the relationship referenced in the song that climaxes with the initial meeting of the two leads.
