Throwback Thursday: Party Anthems

With the end of another year approaching, there are numerous things to celebrate. Whether you’re rejoicing in the end of another school semester or looking to toast to the holidays, The Kraze has got you all set! Check out some of our favorite throwbacks to get your party on this season.

“Hurricane” - B.A.P

B.A.P’s “Hurricane” comes from their third EP Badman. The dance track is the second single off the 2013 album, following a much more amped-up path than its jazzy predecessor “Coffee Shop.” With its pounding beat and carefree lyrics, “Hurricane” will take any party to the next level but considering that the video was shot in Las Vegas–the ultimate party city–we think this goes without saying.

“Whatcha Doin’ Today” - 4Minute

4Minute’s funky 2014 anthem “Whatcha Doin’ Today” was made for letting loose. With Jihyun, Gayoon, Jiyoon, HyunA, and Sohyun beckoning you to join in their plans to forget the troubles and doldrums of everyday life, this song is bound to make for an unforgettable time. If the impossibly catchy chorus isn’t enough to get you out of your seat, the quirky, syncopated baritone saxophone definitely will.

“Beautiful Night” - BEAST

Released in 2012 as part of their EP Midnight Sun, BEAST’s “Beautiful Night” is an electro-dance hit with a beat that’s impossible not to dance to. The music video was shot in New York City and features a raging rooftop party. Between the addictive beats and larger-than-life music video, BEAST’s “Beautiful Night” is bound to be the next song on your party anthem playlist.

“MOVIE” - BTOB

BTOB’s “MOVIE,” the second single from their 2017 EP Feel’eM, is a bit of a jazzier take than the rest of this playlist. With a retro bass line and crazy rhythmic synths, “MOVIE” is already a groovy, high-energy track, but once Peniel comes in with his all-English rap verse, this song becomes a party classic. It’s Minhyuk’s following rap verse, however, that positively sets the song on fire.
