HINAPIA Makes Their Debut with “Drip”
HINAPIA has finally made their debut! This girl group caused quite the stir in the K-Pop industry as four of the five members have previously been members of (the now disbanded) PRISTIN. This comes only months after PRISTIN formally disbanded, which left quite a sour note for fans since the girls’ talents were underutilized and rather wasted. But as news broke that former PRISTIN members have signed under OSR Entertainment and came together to form a new group, many were excited to see what these girls will bring to the table. As the four members of PRISTIN (Yaebin, Eunwoo, Gyeongwon and Minkyeung) were already announced upon news of HINAPIA’s debut, the fifth member (Bada) remained a mystery to build further anticipation for the girl group.
Although just a digital single for their debut, HINAPIA makes a strong impression with their song “Drip.” These ladies are not here to play games as they kick off their debut with the girl crush concept. “Drip” is a blend of hip-hop and pop, with an addictive beat and chorus that is sure to either get stuck in your head or have you reaching for the replay button. This girl group is definitely dripping in tons of swag, confidence, and beauty as each member gets their moment to shine in their respective parts. HINAPIA does not need much in terms of having such a complex music video, letting their charisma take the lead and pull in viewers. Dressed to the nines, HINAPIA brings the glam to the music video, which is for sure going to have fashion lovers wanting to recreate their outfits. Nonetheless, HINAPIA’s song is one that many will want to listen to and play over and over again.
The gauntlet has now been thrown and HINAPIA is here to stay. It’s curious and exciting to see what this girl group will bring in the future in terms of music and style. As a freshly debuted group, many will have to wait and see what HINAPIA has to offer. Until then, they leave a solid mark on the industry and is for sure a girl group to be on the lookout for in the coming years.
