”ANTI-HERO”

If “BOOM BANG” is the song meant for healing and having a good time and “SHADOW” is the dark angsty side, M.O.N.T brings a whole new level of fun, wild, and overall confidence that we don’t often see from the trio with “ANTI-HERO.” “ANTI-HERO” is the song that must be put on while going for a cruise—which many do actually see the M.O.N.T members doing in the music video itself. “ANTI-HERO” is all about going on their own path; good or bad, they don’t care. It’s all about the confidence and the swagger and they’re going to keep doing what they’re doing with reckless abandon. The track is a blend of hip-hop beats, mixed with horns and heavy bass guitar, that is easy to groove and vibe to. It definitely emphasizes the wild and gritty style that M.O.N.T expressed throughout the song.

The music video is laid back, focusing more on the visuals of each member than following a storyline that needs heavy dissecting and interpretation. “ANTI-HERO” features the members donning dark clothing with harnesses and all the leather imaginable, along with smokey eye makeup as well as cruising in a car as they sing and rap into the camera.

But that is not all! Narachan finally gets his moment to shine with his solo song “September Hills,” which is a mellow ballad that gives him the opportunity to show off his vocal abilities aside from his usual rap mantle.

All in all, it’s been a great year for M.O.N.T and they’ve definitely been on the up and coming. 2020 proves to be a great year of growth for the trio and Listen Up! showcases the journey they have been on despite setbacks that have befallen worldwide.
