“Let Me Go”
Many see an influx of more somber and slower releases around this time of year and Crush’s latest release is no stranger to these types of songs. “Let Me Go” features Taeyeon, which makes this the second time that the two artists have collaborated on a track. “Let Me Go” is all about the end of a relationship. There will be times where the inevitable happens of having to part ways and “Let Me Go” is about that moment. While there will be sadness and heartbreak, instead of prolonging what may feel like a bottomless pit, it’s best to just let go.
Despite the sad themes of the song, this R&B ballad hits right in the soul and is easygoing to listen to. It’s the fall classic type of song that makes one want to curl up in a warm sweater or blanket. The music video features both Crush and Taeyeon, often seen beside each other looking rather sad and longingly. The music video is set in some sort of barren land that further adds to the sadness that this song brings. Together, Taeyeon brings another stellar collaboration for “Let Me Go” that many will enjoy.
It’s not often we see an album with each track having a feature, but Crush’s with HER is a refreshing album filled with loads of R&B goodness that is repeat-worthy. This album comes as a parting gift for fans as Crush is set to be serving his military enlistment on November 12. Until then, continue to support Crush by listening to his latest EP!
