Best of October 2020 B-Sides

With so many groups having amazing comebacks this past month, it was hard to pick just four tracks to write about. Here is just a sampling of some of the best B-Sides released in October 2020.

“Forever” - SF9

Off the single album they released earlier this month for their fourth anniversary, “Forever” by SF9 is a softer pop track that gets more upbeat as the song plays. Placed between title track “Shine Together” and “Love No.5,” “Forever” acts as a bridge that connects the ballad and EDM-inspired track. It’s a perfect blend of the two styles. “OOPS!” - LOONA

LOONA always impresses with every new release and [12:00] is no exception. “OOPS!” is a synthesizer-heavy track with some EDM elements and Latin flair. The repeated lyrics of “I love myself” at the end of the track hammer in the fact that LOONA are tired of the nonsense excuses that men give them to try and win them back. “SHOT CLOCK” - TWICE

“SHOT CLOCK” is off TWICE’s latest release Eyes Wide Open. Starting out sounding like the drumline of a marching band, this upbeat pop track is sure to get you off your feet and dancing. While it may not match the rest of the change in style TWICE went through with this album, it’s definitely a fun track and will have you dancing along in no time. “Nemonade” - P1Harmony

Though they debuted in the last week of October, P1Harmony’s “Nemonade” made a lasting impression. This B-Side has everything that most K-Pop tracks seem to be steering away from—slap bass, a funky rhythm, synth beats, and no EDM elements whatsoever. With some of the members and Seunghyub from N.Flying helping to pen the lyrics, this B-Side is a great start from the boys. You can read all about their debut here.
