Wintertime Dresses

With December being full of festivities and celebration, it also makes it a good excuse to dress up. Let’s take a look at some Korean fashion trends for dresses this winter season.

Knit Dress

There is no better way to feel warm and look cute than with a knitted dress. It is a good basic piece for any closet as it can be dressed up with accessories and heels or dressed down by pairing it with a simple boot and overcoat. These two cozy cute dresses are from the brand Chuu

Velvet Dress

Velvet fabric adds a gemstone luster from its shiny look and soft texture. It is a constant trend each holiday season and is a staple piece as it adds a richness and boldens the color that you are wearing, making it perfect for holiday festivities. The velvet shirring puff dress on the left from Chuu is chic on its own but it can also be dressed down. Layering it over a simple turtleneck can allow you to incorporate the dress into a more daily look. The scoop neck sleeveless velvet dress on the right is from Stylenanda and is often used for daily wear as not only is it a clean look, but the length of the dress also adds a layer of comfort to the look.

Floral

When thinking of floral prints, we often think of springtime; however, floral prints have made their way into the colder seasons. Wearing a more muted palette of beige, browns, and deep reds is one way to subtly incorporate floral print dresses into winter and holiday dresses. Both of the dresses pictured are from the brand Cherryville and show the variety of a neutral colored dress for everyday wear to the red floral print dress for a holiday event.

Retro

Retro inspired styles can not only make a statement but create looks that are timeless. The retro check puff dress pictured on the left from Chuu brings a ‘70s inspired style that is perfect for being out on the town. The herringbone-panel flannel knit dress from the brand MyFiona brings a more ‘50s inspired skirt that creates a romantic feel for the outfit, making it fit for a wintertime date.
