Throwback Thursday: Let’s Celebrate!
While we all come from different backgrounds and observe different holidays, there’s one thing we all have in common: the holidays are a time for celebrating! Whether it’s your loved ones, your religion, or even just yourself, we all have something to be thankful for. So, let the good times roll with some of these party hits!
“D.D.D” - The Boyz
Released as the title for their fourth mini-album, The Boyz’s “D.D.D” is about as exciting as pop gets. The “dance, dance, dance, dance” chorus is unbelievably catchy and will certainly have you excited for the holidays. Not to mention, the EDM bridge is the stuff of party dreams.
“GO CRAZY!” - 2PM
No one knows how to turn it up like 2PM! With high energy beats characteristic of dance halls, 2014’s “GO CRAZY!” is your quintessential party track, so much so that there’s even a separate “party version” of the music video.
“BOOMBAYAH” - BLACKPINK
Though just rookies in 2016, BLACKPINK proved they were already experts at hype when they released “BOOMBAYAH.” The song starts off strong with Jennie’s characteristic “BLACKPINK in your area” line and by the time the beat kicks in, you’ll be hard-pressed to stay in your seat.
“Good Day for a Good Day” - SUPER JUNIOR
Off their eighth studio album PLAY, SUPER JUNIOR’s “Good Day for a Good Day” is one of those B-sides you just can’t skip no matter how hard you try. SUPER JUNIOR have always known how to deliver a good jam, but the guitar hook in this song is downright addictive.
“All Night” - Girls’ Generation
In 2017, Girls’ Generation made their triumphant return with their album Holiday Night with double title tracks “Holiday” and “All Night.” The latter evokes neo-disco sounds, with hints of the ‘70s and ‘80s sprinkled throughout the still very much modern-pop track. Pair this with GG’s energy and you’ve got plenty to celebrate.
