A Checklist for Your Next K-Pop Concert

With concerts starting to slowly but surely make their return, the excitement of seeing your favorite group is hard to contain! Here’s your concert checklist so you’re prepared for the next tour!

Your Ticket

While this may seem like a given, you always want to double and triple check to make sure you have your ticket before walking out the door, especially if you have a printed ticket rather than digitally on your phone. It’s the one thing that will get you in!

A Light Stick

Light sticks are essential at a K-Pop concert! They make great photos, but are also fun to just swing around during the show and watch the lights change throughout songs. There’s nothing like looking around the venue seeing the ocean of lights!

Light sticks are available in numerous shops such as Weverse, Choice Music, your local K-Pop shop, or right at the merch stands at the venue.

Your Phone and Portable Charger

Your phone may be an obvious piece of this list, but it’s super important to bring a portable charger with you as well. The last thing you want is to be taking a photo or video and have your phone die! A full phone battery is absolutely crucial for those of you who love snapping photos during concerts. It’s also a good idea to back up your photos either to iCloud or Google so you don’t have to worry about running out of storage!

Your Wallet and Extra Money

It’s always a good idea to bring your wallet with you to bring essentials such as your ID and money. Whether you want to buy merchandise or stop at the concession stands, having money is important. Many venues now take debit or credit cards compared to years ago when cash was the norm. Regardless of if you want to use cash or card, having it with you can be handy.

Tissues

There will always be a more emotional part of the concert at some point or another, and tears may be shed. Don’t worry if you end up crying, it’s normal! Have tissues on hand just in case.

Water

It’s super important to stay hydrated during a concert! The last thing you want is to get light headed or not feel well while dancing around due to not drinking enough water. It may be worth it to buy it inside if you’re unable to bring it in with you, though many venues will now allow sealed water bottles inside depending where you go. Stay hydrated!

Comfy Clothes and Shoes

Yes, figuring out the perfect outfit can be fun. However, you still want to stay comfortable when you’re dancing at your seat. This is especially important when it comes to the shoes you wear. Pack a pair of comfortable shoes for the actual show, and opt for the fancier shoes for photo opportunities or walking in/out of the venue. While heels may look cute with your outfit, think about how long you’ll actually be on your feet. K-Pop shows can be two to three hours long, and standing for that long could be killer if you decide to wear heels.

Last But Not Least, Go Have Fun!

Now that you have everything you need, it’s time for the most important part: having fun! K-Pop concerts are some of the most fun concerts you may attend. The energy is unmatched, you may make new friends, memories will be made, and you’ll have the time of your life!
