December Dramas to End The Year With

2021 is almost over. Instead of slowing down, however, the K-Dramas are speeding up with lots of heart-racing romances, scary supernaturals, and mind-twisting thrillers. Cozy up to these new dramas starting in December and let us know which one is your favorite.

Tracer

Who knew tax evasion could be so exciting? Hwang Dongju (Im Siwan) seems to think it is. He’s the chief at the National Tax Service, where he and his team work hard to find shady people and corporations’ hidden tax money. Dongju’s team includes his boss, Oh Young (Park Yongwoo), and bright rookie Seo Haeyoung (Ko Ahsung).

The team reports to Commissioner Im Taejoon (Son Hyunjoo), who seems like an upstanding person but has earned his way to the top through illegal connections and business. Taejoon will do whatever it takes to keep his team from finding out the truth, even if that means ending someone’s life.

User Not Found

The Prince and the Pauper story gets a gender-bending Korean remake with User Not Found. Two high school students named Yoo Minjae (Shin Sohyun and Han Yeji) meet as they start a new school at the same time. They long for what the other has and decide to swap lives. At first, things go well. One Yoo Minjae finally gets a chance to be part of the popular crowd, while the second focuses on living a quiet life.

Soon, things start to turn sour as the Minjaes start uncovering secrets in each other’s lives. Will they have time to fix things for the better, or will the Minjaes be stuck as the other person forever? User Not Found is available to watch on Viki.

Our Beloved Summer

Our Beloved Summer follows Choi Woong (Choi Wooshik) and Kook Yeonseo (Kim Dami) as they reunite after a horrible breakup. While in high school, Woong and Yeonseo were part of a documentary that followed their lives as seniors. A decade later, the documentary creators want to do a follow-up film on them and how they’ve been living their lives. However, as they spend time together, they realize that their feelings for each other haven’t changed. Can time heal their wounds, or is the damage too severe?This romantic comedy is available on Netflix to watch.

Artificial City

In this fictitious world, Sung Jin Group holds all the power regarding politics and finances. Yoon Jaehee (Park Sooaee) runs Sung Jin’s art museum, Space Jin. Many women her age covet the power that Jaehee has within Sung Jin, but she isn’t satisfied. Jaehee has her heart set on having her husband, Jung Joonhyuk (Kim Kangwoo), become the next president. She has influential people on her side, and she will do anything she can to make her dreams come true. Unfortunately for Jaehee, Joonhyuk has plans of his own. Bad and Crazy

Lee Dongwook stars as police officer Soo Yeol. Yeol tries his best to solve crimes his supervisors approve of, but unfortunately lets some crime slide. While trying to secure a promotion, he meets K (Wi Hajoon). K is a righteous man that solves the injustices he sees with his fists. K turns Yeol’s life upside down, and they start to work together to solve crimes. Yeol just hopes that K’s crazy antics won’t get in the way of his career. Bad and Crazy is available on iQiyi.

The Silent Sea

This highly anticipated futuristic drama has an all-star cast. Han Yoonjae (Gong Yoo) is a space explorer sent with a team to the moon. They have 24 hours to recover samples from an abandoned mysterious lunar station. An accident at the station killed everyone there, including Song Jian’s (Bae Doona) sister. She is determined to find out what happened and why. Ryu Taeseok (Lee Joon) is the engineer of the team. His job is to ensure their equipment stays operational as they retrieve the samples and figure out what happened to the space station.

The Silent Sea will be available on Netflix starting December 24.

Her Bucket List

Her Bucket List shows us how to live after a tragic death. Cha Rari (Kim Sohye) loses the love of her life and doesn’t have the desire to live alone. She finds his bucket list and decides to complete everything before moving on from her life. While on her journey, she meets Kang Hansol (Na Inwoo), an aspiring singer who has anxiety whenever he gets on stage. They begin completing the experiences on the bucket list, and as they do, they develop feelings for each other. Rari starts to have second thoughts of joining her first love in the afterlife with a new relationship on the horizon. This drama will be available on Viki soon.
