Throwback Thursday: Power Collabs

Sometimes the stars align and bring us collaborations that are out of this world. Check out some of The Kraze’s favorite collabs that just feel like they were written in the stars.

“I’m Different” - HI SUHYUN feat. Bobby

In 2014, YG Entertainment blessed us with the duo HI SUHYUN, consisting of soloist Lee Hi and Akdong Musician’s Suhyun. With both vocalists having some of the most distinctive vocal colors in the K-Pop world, their jazzy single “I’m Different” was sure to be a hit. Add to that a feature by iKON’s Bobby and an adorable music video, and it’s no wonder the song topped the Gaon Digital Chart. For an extra dose of fun, watch out for BLACKPINK’s Jisoo’s cameo in the video.

“Honey Bee” - Luna, Hani, Solar

When it was announced in 2017 that f(x)’s Luna, EXID’s Hani, and MAMAMOO’s Solar would be coming together for a collab, it felt like the stuff of girl crush dreams. The funk-inspired “Honey Bee” was the fruit of those efforts, and boy, does it pack a punch. With hard-hitting vocals from all three ladies and an unforgettable hook, “Honey Bee” is exactly the sweet treat we never knew we needed.

“Get It?” - Younha feat. HA:TFELT and CHEETAH

As a soloist, everything Younha touches already turns to gold, but pair her with HA:TFELT and CHEETAH and suddenly you have pure magic. And luckily for us, 2016 gave us just that with the girl-power anthem “Get It?” With all three artists having incredibly distinctive styles—Younha’s penchant for ballads, HA:TFELT’s fame as a sultry soloist, and CHEETAH’s in-your-face rapping—the song could’ve easily fallen off track; and yet, the three women balance each other perfectly. This is no more apparent than in the playfully morbid music video.

“Delicious” - Toheart

SHINee’s Key and Infinite’s Woohyun are longtime friends and in 2014 the bromance gave fans the ultimate gift in the form of their duo Toheart and the single “Delicious.” The track is just as funky and playful as you’d expect from the pair, and the music video somehow manages to be even more colorful than the song, thanks to the quirky duo.
