Throwback Thursday: Bring on the Sunshine

Kick up your daily dose of Vitamin D with these sunshine-filled bops!

“Sunshine” - Rainbow

Released in 2013 on the second part of their Rainbow Syndrome album, Rainbow’s song “Sunshine” is only rivaled by the sun when it comes to brightness. The pop song is fun and buoyant, especially with the repetitive string synths. The live stages of “Sunshine” kick the joy of the song up several more notches, with the girls adorning impossibly cute sailor outfits.

“Sunshine” - Hoody feat. Crush

“Sunshine” is the 2018 single from soloist Hoody featuring R&B crooner Crush. Using relaxed lo-fi beats and both singers’ soft voices, the track is about comparing a loved one to the warmth of the sun. Even more enjoyable is the hilarious music video where Hoody and Crush are neighbors-at-odds that eventually fall in love (made all the better by a humorous cameo from Hoody’s labelmate Simon Dominic).

“24/7=heaven” - BTS

Off their 2014 album, DARK & WILD, BTS’s “24/7=heaven” is anything but dark or wild. In fact, the song sounds like a sunny day in musical form—fitting when one considers that much of the album was recorded under the summer sun of Los Angeles. Check out an adorable log of the boys’ 2014 summer memories set to the song below.
