Rain Returns With “WHY DON’T WE” Featuring Chungha

Ladies and gentlemen, it is 2021 and Rain is back! PIECES by RAIN, his first release since 2017’s MY LIFE愛, is the soloist’s third mini-album and features five new tracks, including the pre-release duet track “Switch to Me” with J.Y. Park and title track “WHY DON’T WE” featuring Chungha. In fact, four of the five tracks include other artists, with Jackson Wang featuring in third track “MAGNETIC” and members of Rain’s upcoming boy group Ciipher joining him for “Come Over.” The only track to not feature another artist is opening track “Aurora,” which starts out soft and slow before bursting for the chorus and lets Rain’s vocals shine.

After teasing fans in February about a track featuring a powerhouse female dancer, fans were thrilled to learn that Chunga would join Rain on “WHY DON’T WE.” The track is a pop-infused R&B masterpiece, and the music video feels like a sexy spy thriller. However, the focus of the video is on the incredible choreography, which is no surprise coming from Rain and Chungha. Make sure to check out the music video below!
