E’LAST U Debuts with Single Album Remember

E’LAST U, the first sub-unit of rookie group E’LAST, debuted with their first single album Remember featuring track “The beginning of spring” as well as an instrumental version. While the concept photos released of members Choi In, Romin, Wonjun, and Seungyeop on the group’s official Twitter account hinted at possibly a ballad, the track is anything but.

“The beginning of spring” is an upbeat, synth track that opens with a twinkling strumming sound that can be heard throughout the track. Shortly after the first chorus, the song gets a slight EDM and electro twist, with synthesizers and an interesting autotune added to Wonjun’s voice that is later heard with the other members as well. While E’LAST have released similar sounding tracks in the past, there’s still a fresh sound to this sub-unit debut that separates them from their main group and has fans intrigued.

The music video features the E’LAST U boys on a mountainside field with the ocean behind them, performing the choreography either on the rocky beach below or in the field. There are plenty of beautiful aesthetic shots of them walking around the landscape, tying back to the concept photos of the members posed with flowers, as they lament the changing of the year to a new spring and reminisce on the end of a past relationship. The music video is kind of similar to ONEUS’s music video for “A Song Written Easily,” but is still different enough in sound and style to set E’LAST U apart.

With this being Wonjun’s first release with the group after his brief hiatus while a host of Tok! Tok! Boni Hani, let’s make it a memorable return for him. You can check out the music video below, and be sure to support them as they perform on music shows!
