Kingdom Groups Release Original Songs for the Final Episode

Mnet’s Kingdom: Legendary War has been one of the most buzzworthy shows this spring and rightfully so. Putting the rankings and scoring aside, the groups BTOB, ATEEZ, iKON, The Boyz, SF9, and Stray Kids have continued to deliver outstanding performances on the show. As Kingdom heads into its final episode, each of the six groups will be performing an original song that was released this week.

“Finale (Show And Prove)” - BTOB

With powerful vocalists and rappers, BTOB opt for an anthemic rock ballad for their final song. “Finale (Show And Prove)” opens like a theatrical soundtrack and features two passionate rap verses performed by members Peniel and Minhyuk. Through the lyrics, the group shares their difficult journey to stardom and how they’ll show and prove their worth. The song is a wonderful addition to BTOB’s signature angsty sound. “At ease” - iKON

iKON boastfully puts their haters to rest on their final song. With their signature hip-hop sound and powerful delivery, iKON utilizes their strength properly on “At ease.” The lyrics were co-written by labelmate MINO of WINNER in collaboration with BOBBY, and clever hints of MINO’s songs “Hop in” and “Run away” can be heard in iKON’s lyrics. “At ease” features an interesting switch up towards the end of the song, amplifying its dynamic. “Believer” - SF9

SF9 fully embraces their name “Sensational Feeling Nine” on their final song “Believer.” With sensual lyrics, the track builds on a smooth EDM-trap beat. Co-written by the members, the track is composed by the legendary producer Willie Weeks, known for his work behind GRAMMY-winning songs. SF9 also released their cover of “Move” by TAEMIN from last week’s episode on music platforms. Listen to “Believer” here.

“KINGDOM COME” - The Boyz

Culminating their year-long journey from Road To Kingdom to Kingdom, The Boyz have released the symphonic “KINGDOM COME” as their final song. Keeping in line with their Game of Thrones inspired performances so far, the new song also makes several references to the hit series. The group delivers beautiful harmonies and a message of unity. The song is composed by MUSSASHI, the producer behind EXO’s “MAMA” and “El Dorado,” as well as many other cinematic songs. Listen to “KINGDOM COME” here:

“WOLFGANG” - Stray Kids

Named after the classical composer Wolfgang Mozart, “WOLFGANG” has Stray Kids plowing through a storm to find their sound. The track mixes classical instrumentation with Stray Kids’s signature gritty hip-hop sound. The track interpolates Stray Kids’s 2018 B-side track “Rock” and includes a message of survival in this wild world. Listen to “WOLFGANG” here:

“The Real” - ATEEZ

ATEEZ brings in a Middle Eastern beat and mixes it with their EDM-pop sound, making a grungy banger. The song is performed by all eight members of the group; even though member Mingi is still on hiatus and has not appeared on Kingdom, he took part in co-writing the song alongside Hongjoong. Reminiscent of the group’s early works like “Pirate King,” ATEEZ shares their secret to success in life on “The Real.” Listen to the song here:
