AleXa Drops Y2K-Inspired Track “Xtra”

The edgy solo artist AleXa makes her return with a never-before-seen style with the fun title track, “Xtra.” AleXa skips her unique post-apocalyptic and futuristic concept and switches it up with a throwback-style track. 

It’s been eight months since her last comeback with the second mini-album, DECOHERENCE. In this comeback, AleXa gives a prequel to her character’s original identity before she was overtaken by an evil entity. Even though it’s drastically different from the previous concepts she’s displayed, her charisma and bubbly personality blend perfectly with a throwback style and hip-hop base. 

For her vibrant and nostalgic comeback, AleXa returns with the single album, ReviveR. The album includes a B-side titled “Obsession,” “Xtra,” and an instrumental for the title track.

“Xtra” is a Y2K-inspired bubblegum pop song that’ll bring you good vibes no matter where you are. This lively summer track features both English and Korean lyrics. With a mix of rap, cool vocals, and a deeper register, AleXa shines in this comeback with her multi-talented sound. With lyrics like, “ I got you,” “I’m extra,” and “You are my favorite crime,” this song is certain to be on replay on A.I. Troopers’ playlists. The track also includes goofy lines that’ll make you laugh like, “On my burger and fries, always extra cheese,” and “Excuse me, I need a doggy bag.” Without a doubt, AleXa can conquer any sound and make it her own. 

Her music video takes fans to a variety of stages—a shipping container yard, skatepark, auto body shop, and an empty warehouse—where AleXa is seen enjoying a fun day with her crew. With a multitude of colorful Y2K-inspired outfits and hot pink hair, she brings cool kid vibes throughout the video. Visually, the video contains comic-book-style effects and graffiti art to grab your attention. One exciting cameo featured in her video is BM of the quartet KARD. A cute moment in her video shows AleXa’s crew about to have a dance battle that brings out an energetic and exciting mood. The choreography is on the simpler side in a way that will make you want to join alongside her.
