Your Next OOTD? NCT 127’s Designs!

SLOWACID is an up-and-coming Korean designer brand well-known for its simple, comfortable pieces, and the IP company, TEDDY ISLAND, is specialized in developing character products. NCT 127 modeled for the first collaboration between the two brands this spring, and the TEDDYISLAND X SLOWACID 2021 COLLECTION 02 was designed by the members themselves! 

As expected from the brands involved, the t-shirt collection created by Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Doyoung, Yuta, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan are also very minimalistic, which makes them very easy to style. They’re perfect for any basic casual look. 

A day prior to the collection’s release, the two brands posted a behind-the-scenes video on YouTube where the members briefly talked about fashion and their personal styles. They then formed three groups and jumped into designing—looking through the fabrics, colors, and explaining their drawings. In the upcoming second episode, we will see how the final designs and products came to reality. 

There are two designs I personally want to highlight. The first is Yuta’s—he’s so artistic! I would definitely go and see an art exhibition filled with his paintings. The second is Haechan’s design. I have a thing for typewriters, and I liked how he played with the fallen out keys on the front design.

The designs are all available in several colors, and on top of that, a photocard of the member who designed your pick will also be given with the orders—there is also a video call event happening and AR photocards available!
