K-Pop idols have been starring in K-Dramas for a long time, so to help ease a currently K-Pop- exclusive fan into the beautiful world of dramas, here are seven popular dramas that have idols in the cast.

Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth

During the Silla Dynasty, Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth follows a group of elite young men who grow with each other during a tumultuous time. Sam Maekjong (Park Hyungsik) has been living his life in secret. His mother, Queen Jiso (Kim Jisoo), has kept him hidden with hopes that he will live long enough to become the future king.

Queen Jiso further protects her son by creating the Hwarang, a group of men that will do anything to protect the throne and Sam Maekjong, but will their bond be enough to keep Sam Maekjong safe?

Hotel Del Luna

Jang Manwol (IU) has been running Hotel Del Luna for the last 1,000 years and, quite frankly, she is tired. She desperately wants to move on but has to wait until she finds someone who has committed a great sin. Just as Manwol begins to lose hope, Goo Chansung (Yeo Jingoo) starts working at the hotel. He’s a perfectionist and a pain, but maybe that’s what Manwol needs to get out of the curse she’s been under.

Idols starring in Hotel Del Luna are solo vocalist IU, P.O. from Block B, and Kang Mina from gugudan. This drama is currently available on Viki.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo

Go Hajin (IU) travels back in time to the Goryeo Dynasty during a total eclipse. Once there, she finds herself living as Hae Soo, a 16-year-old girl. While trying to figure out how to return to her rightful place in time, she befriends a few princes that live near her. However, things become complicated when she falls in love with the fourth prince, Wang So (Lee Joongi). Add in shady politics and rivalry among the princes, and Hajin realizes that she’s in danger of losing her life. Will she be able to return to the present or be stuck in the Goryeo Dynasty forever?

Idols starring in Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo are IU, Seohyun from Girls’ Generation, and Baekhyun from EXO. Fans can find this drama uploaded on YouTube, but please note it is an unofficial upload and may be taken down at any time.

Seo Dalmi (Bae Suzy) wants to be like tech mogul Steve Jobs. She decides she needs $90,000 to successfully create a start-up company, so she drops out of college and begins working many part-time jobs. Nam Dosan (Nam Joohyuk) is the founder of Samsan Tech, a company that has been failing recently. The two meet, and Dalmi mistakenly thinks that Dosan is her first love. They begin to spend time together, and Dosan wants to make Dalmi’s mistake a reality.

Vincenzo

Park Joohyung (Song Joongki) has been living in Italy since he was eight-years-old, as he was adopted by the head of the Cassano mafia family and renamed Vincenzo Cassano. Vincenzo grows up to be the family consigliere until one day, the new leader of the Cassano family tries to kill him. He flees to Seoul to recover his past and is met with new challenges. Vincenzo begins working with the Jipuragi Law Firm while figuring out how to reclaim what he’s lost.

Welcome 2 Life

Lee Jaesang (Rain) is a lawyer who will do anything it takes to win a case. After an accident, he wakes up in a parallel universe, married to the love of his life, and has a daughter. He realizes that his previous life wasn’t what he wanted. Jaesang decides to live a better life as a prosecutor in the new world, but will he be able to stay forever, or will reality drag him back?
